Redwood City’s Renowned PAL Blues Festival Brings Music, Art, a Pre-Show, and an After-Show Party to Downtown - July 18 & 19!
Redwood City, CA - July 8th, 2008 - The fabulous FREE Redwood City PAL Blues & Art Festival returns to downtown Redwood City for its third spectacular year, benefiting the Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL)!
The community is invited to join friends, family, neighbors, and other music lovers for a marathon of outstanding blues artists that is putting Downtown Redwood City on the musical map. The Redwood City PAL Blues & Art Festival is presented by San Mateo Credit Union.
First, a great pre-show the evening before the big blues bash:
- Friday, July 18 th, 6 – 8 pm
Madison Blues Band
Music on the Square – Courthouse Square in Downtown Redwood City
Then, the main event, with featured artists:
- Saturday, July 19 th, starting at 12 noon

Noon - Bart Shea Blues Band featuring Freddie Roulette
1 pm - Andre Thierry (Zydeco)
2 pm - Jan Fanucchi with Steve Freund
3 pm - Ron Thompson (acoustic)

7 to 11 pm – The Dave Hytie Trio at the after-festival party, Angelica's Bistro, 863 Main Street - no cover charge

The PAL Blues & Art Festival includes 40 unique artist booths, for browsing, enjoying, and purchasing of great art from local and regional artisans. The main stage in the square will be filled with live music all day long, and a kid 's area will have activities for the whole family, featuring a second stage of local talented youth. To top it off there will be food from local restaurants, vendors displaying their merchandise, and a car show. There’s no better way to enjoy a beautiful summer day than to revel in Redwood City’s glorious weather while savoring great Blues, art, food and drink!
